Attention Graduate Students!

A master’s student is being sought to participate in the “Enhancement of Thermal Performance of Cooling Blocks with Thermosyphon Assistance” project, which will continue for 20 months under the Research Universities Support Program (AÜDP) (6000TL gross monthly). The person in this role will be responsible for integrating thermosyphons with heat sinks and setting up the necessary experimental apparatus, including a wind tunnel. The student will analyze the data collected from the experimental setup and contribute to designing new cooling blocks. For detailed information, you can contact Dr. Kasım Toprak ( kasimtoprak@iyte.edu.tr ).

Research Interests:

Energy research group is at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions and advanced materials science. Our group develops hybrid heating and cooling systems using renewable energy sources and efficiently integrates heat pumps and combi boilers. We optimize thermal energy storage systems to reduce the cost of solar-powered cooling systems. Additionally, we develop passive cooling technologies to reduce energy consumption in electronic devices.

Furthermore, our group conducts significant research in materials science. We optimize the thermal properties of materials using molecular dynamics simulations and artificial intelligence algorithms. We develop new-generation, high-performance materials by combining metals such as copper and aluminum, and polymer materials with nanomaterials like graphene and carbon nanotubes.
